Tuba City felon sentenced for robbery and assault

PHOENIX (AP) — A convicted felon from Tuba City has been sentenced to more than eight years in prison.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for Arizona said Oct. 23 that 37-year-old Warren Adam Blake received the sentence after pleading guilty to assault with a dangerous weapon and armed robbery. He also must serve 13 months concurrently for violating his supervised release.

Prosecutors say Blake, who is an enrolled member of the Navajo Nation, was on supervised release last year and had an active arrest warrant.

In August 2017, he evaded arrest by fleeing in a stolen vehicle after hitting an officer’s car.

The FBI and the Navajo Nation Division of Public Safety say they found him three months later when he held a Tuba City homeowner at gunpoint.

He was captured on foot.
